And the selection didn't disappoint! On the menu we have blueberry, banana walnut, and chocolate chip. That's it. No gimmicks or fancy stuffedjellydonutredvelvetbaconsmothered pancakes here (sorry IHOP).
I kept it simple this morning. Just a latte and the famed blueberry pancakes. I looked to Four Square for advice on which of the three pancake toppings to try. Every was talking about the blueberry ones so that was easy! My Four Square buds definitely didn't let me down!
With the pancakes, comes this maple syrup that is out of this world! To say that it is regular maple syrup would be an understatement. There has to be some secret ingredient mixed in because this was no ordinary syrup. It turned out to be more consistent with a glaze or something of that source. But I could probably analyze for days and still not figure it out. Whatever it was, it was good!
If you are planning on going, be prepared for a wait. And I mean like a 2+ hour wait for a party of 2 or more. I went by myself this morning expecting a wait like this so I was able to get a seat at the bar pretty quickly (> 30 minutes) which is great for a NYC brunch. So either go super early on a weekend or skip the line (almost) completely and go on a weekday. Today was special because everyone was off for the July 4th holiday, but I hear that on regular weekdays, you can get in fairly quickly.
